Prince Charles
Hello, my name is Prince Charles. Well, I had a different name my whole life but since I was found all alone wandering in the street, a volunteer had to give me a new name and she said that I have earned a royal name. Thankfully I was welcomed into the vet clinic because I was soaking wet, freezing, hungry and scared. Everyone is being so nice to me. But I'm sad; I want a family and I'm worried about what is going to happen. I can't tell them all about me, but they think I may be a beagle mix or maybe even a lab mix. I'm only 40 lbs and they think I am approximately 10-12 years old. I see the hurt in everyone's eyes when they look at me and they keep saying that it's so sad that I am here and not at home with the family that I loved. So, I'm hoping that someone reading this has been waiting for me-waiting for me to come into their life-waiting to love me for the rest of my life-waiting to take me home and make me the most important part of their life. I can't tell you how much I will love my new family! So, please contact Cheryl at csamuels_ia@hotmail.com or (319) 533-0630 and ask her how you can meet me. I can't wait to meet you!!
This pet’s adoption fee is on a sliding scale of $125 to $200. You decide the amount that is right for you to give. The fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm test, heartworm preventative, treatment for a variety of intestinal parasites and vaccinations. We have an all-volunteer staff, which means your entire fee goes towards helping homeless animals. A home visit is part of our adoption process, so we do not adopt outside of a 50-mile radius of Cedar Rapids. To complete our online adoption application, please click here.
Breed Disclosure: Due to the fact that most of our adoptable pets are strays, we cannot guarantee their breed. We list the pet’s breed as the one that best matches the physical appearance, temperament, and personality of the animal. The pet may also be listed as a mix when it’s actually a purebred.
