Jasper
This is Jasper (aka Monkey) and he is approximately 8 months old. Jasper was rescued at 10 weeks old from being cast out at a farm, where he would have surely died or would have ended up in the hands of not so good people. Jasper's mom was a Puggle and his dad was possibly a beagle mix. He definitely looks like a beagle but he is larger than a beagle and it makes me wonder if his dad may have been more like a hound mix, as he's got very long legs. Jasper is a typical puppy!! He is energetic, playful, mischievous, and sometimes has a mind of his own. I playfully call him a monster. He is everything that you would expect a "little guy" of his age to be. Jasper is currently living with 13 other dogs so he has plenty of socialization and he loves that he can always find someone that is up for playtime! Jasper also has some moments when he's being so quiet and peaceful and he is so cute!! Here is a list of some of Monkey's favorite things: He loves to sleep under the covers. He loves to play with his foster siblings. He loves to remind me every morning where I keep the food. He loves to bark at anyone that has a toy or bone as he thinks he has to have what they have. Oh, and about a month ago, he found his beagle voice, so he loves to use that too. He loves to be snuggled and smooched on. Jasper really is such a sweet, adorable monkey butt and it breaks my heart to let him go, but as in rescue, we fall in love A LOT but have to keep letting those we love go to good homes so we can save the next. Jasper will require a fenced in yard. And because he absolutely adores the companionship of other dogs, his adoptive home will require a companion doggy for him.
