Garrett

Garrett

Garrett had eye surgery on Wednesday December 28th. He is currently in a foster home where he is continuing to heal and receiving follow up treatments at the clinic. After he has been given a clean bill of health, Garrett will be officially up for adoption. If you are interested in submitting an application for adoption of Garrett, please click here to fill out the adoption application. Please continue reading for Garrett's full story: Just looking at Garrett will break your heart! Garrett has found himself homeless, BUT this is the BEST THING that could have ever happened to him. Garrett has very obviously been left to suffer for a very long time and he has very bad eyes. He will need to have eye surgery for entropion correction and removal of cherry eye. Because his case is so bad and he was left untreated by his former owners for so long, he may possibly lose one eye. We're praying for Garrett and that he won't lose an eye. Either way, we will do whatever we have to and make sure Garrett's pain stops soon so he can get on with the amazing life that he was meant to have. Garrett is approximately three years old and currently weighs 90 lbs. If you are interested in adopting Garrett, please contact Melissa at mlaalfs@netzero.com or (319) 415-1270.

This pet’s adoption fee is on a sliding scale of $200 to $275. You decide the amount that is right for you to give. The fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm test, heartworm preventative, treatment for a variety of intestinal parasites and vaccinations. We have an all-volunteer staff, which means your entire fee goes towards helping homeless animals. A home visit is part of our adoption process, so we do not adopt outside of a 50-mile radius of Cedar Rapids. To complete our online adoption application, please click here.

Breed Disclosure: Due to the fact that most of our adoptable pets are strays, we cannot guarantee their breed. We list the pet’s breed as the one that best matches the physical appearance, temperament, and personality of the animal. The pet may also be listed as a mix when it’s actually a purebred.
