Edward

Edward

Named after Edward from the Twilight series, this stunning boy is Edward. What a beautiful boy he is; check out the smile on this young man! Edward is approximately five years old and weighs 50 lbs. Edward is a very friendly boy which is why we were so surprised that his family didn't come looking for him when he was found. Whenever Edward travels out and makes an appearance with other rescue dogs, he steals the show with his wonderful personality and sweetness…not to mention how beautiful he is! Edward is a wonderful, wonderful boy and will make an amazing companion for a very lucky family. Edward is smart, fun, entertaining and will just bring you invaluable years of love and entertainment. Edward also really seems to enjoy the company of kids. We want Edward to have a fenced in yard so he can have a safe playground. Please don't let the uneducated media hype about Edward's breed steer you away from him. Rescuers and owners of the pit bull breed know the truth and what great dogs they are! We will want Edward's adopters to be knowledgeable about the breed. If you are interested in adopting Edward, please contact Penny at pennynovak@yahoo.com or (319) 981-0659.

This pet’s adoption fee is on a sliding scale of $150 to $225. You decide the amount that is right for you to give. The fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm test, heartworm preventative, treatment for a variety of intestinal parasites and vaccinations. We have an all-volunteer staff, which means your entire fee goes towards helping homeless animals. A home visit is part of our adoption process, so we do not adopt outside of a 50-mile radius of Cedar Rapids. To complete our online adoption application, please click here.

Breed Disclosure: Due to the fact that most of our adoptable pets are strays, we cannot guarantee their breed. We list the pet’s breed as the one that best matches the physical appearance, temperament, and personality of the animal. The pet may also be listed as a mix when it’s actually a purebred.
